Kobe, the beloved eleven year old Pit Bull of the Boekeloo family, crossed the Rainbow Bridge on Monday, February 28, 2022.
On a normal day, you would find Kobe taking long strolls through the house while Mom and Dad were gone, looking for any clothes or garbage to eat. He loved to play with his green Buddha toy, tennis balls, and any pair of clothing - especially Zackary's and Brooklyn's little yummy socks! The first time Kobe's family was in the pool, he just ran and jumped straight into it - no fear! He was not afraid to jump into any pond or lake to be able to enjoy a quick swim. He loved breaking down whole doors to see what as on the other side and jumping over six foot tall fences to get the geese on the other side. His family has fond memories of walking around Madison Street at 2:00 AM with the boys and no leash.
After a long day of play, you could often find him sleeping on any piece of furniture he could jump onto, including Mom and Dad's bed. He also enjoyed laying down with Zackary and Brooklyn, even helping them learn to sleep throughout the night in their own rooms. His family is sadden by how he went but he will definitely get some street credit with his other dog mates in Doggy Heaven. "Save his little brother and sister from a bear - and took one for the team to make sure Z and B were saved!" Most courageous thing that his parents have ever seen done.
He was an incredible dog who will be missed greatly by his family. "We love you Kobe! Make sure to check in on us a time or two!"
